Raw Food Diet: The “Princesses” Salad Revisited by Our Sous Chef

The raw food diet never ceases to amaze and Carolina Torres, Sous Chef at Palazzo Montemartini, has decided to highlight the “princesses” salad in a revisited version that promises to conquer even the most demanding palates. From Loewe, with the presentation at Paris Fashion Week of the new 2024-2025 collection inspired by vegetables, to the conscious food choices of a true Princess or rather… Duchess, Kate Middleton.

Paris, March 2, 2024 11:30 am: Couture Salad at Loewe
In the eastern suburbs of Paris, in the courtyard of a medieval-looking underground garage, vintage cars with cameras on board arrive one after another. It is Loewe's special surprise for its VIP guests, who are filmed along the way for the live stream. The Spanish fashion house and its designer Jonathan W. Anderson have orchestrated one of the most anticipated moments of Fashion Week, dedicated to the American naturalist painter Albert York . Eighteen of his works have decorated the set, a sort of art gallery painted in different shades of green (just like the painter's paintings), a chlorophyll backdrop to discover a collection that is half couture and half vegetable garden.

A touch of creativity for real princesses
The two salad proposals created by Carolina Torres put fruit, vegetables and seasonal colors at the center of the plate, creating a combination of flavors and consistencies that offer a unique and unforgettable culinary experience. Who inspired the choice of our Sous Chef? Kate Middleton: beautiful, friendly and even easy-going. By now we know: the Duchess has accustomed us to experiencing the royal family as a parallel universe, very close to us. We know a lot about her, almost everything. All we were missing was her (yet another) secret to staying in shape . And no, it's not just tennis. What is it? A salad.

“Kate prefers organic foods for lunch and adds as many raw ingredients as possible,” a source told the British tabloid Daily Express. “ Watermelon salads are a staple of Kate’s lunches.” So, what does Kate Middleton eat ? Her favorite salad is vegetarian, raw and 100% healthy.

Well yes, although there is a huge team of chefs and sous-chefs at court ready to fulfill her every culinary desire, often and willingly it is the Duchess of Cambridge herself who personally provides for her own needs in the kitchen. If a Duchess independently manages her raw food diet, do you think you are up to the task of replicating your "princess" salad at home?

Freshness and health in one dish
The importance of a diet rich in fresh and nutritious elements is the core of this culinary initiative. Carolina Torres promotes a food approach that not only values seasonal products, but above all focuses on the health and well-being of the body.
